Ets-1 is a central member of the Ets family of transcription factors, essential for the differentiation and functional regulation of T cells and B cells. It specifically binds to promoter regions of target genes involved in angiogenesis, cell proliferation, and apoptosis, activating transcription. Ets-1 is also known to contribute to cancer invasion and metastasis, as well as promoting inflammatory responses in autoimmune diseases.
