Robo-1 (Roundabout homolog 1) was first identified as a neuronal axon guidance receptor in Drosophila melanogaster. It is a single-pass transmembrane protein that contains five immunoglobulin-like domains and three fibronectin type III-like domains in its extracellular region. By binding to Slit family proteins, Robo-1 regulates cell migration and tissue morphogenesis.
